The BS ISO/IEC 20000 series identifies service management processes that enable any service provider to understand how to enhance the quality of service delivered to their customers, i.e. a service that is professional, cost effective and with risks which are understood and managed.

  • BS ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 defines the requirements for a service provider to deliver managed IT services
  • BS ISO/IEC 20000-2:2019 represents an industry consensus on guidance to auditors, and offers assistance to service providers planning service improvements or certification ISO 20000-1.

Together these standards promote the adoption of an integrated process approach to effectively deliver managed services to meet business requirements and deliver high levels of customer service and customer satisfaction.

These standards can be used in parallel with IT Information Library (ITIL), recognised as best practice in IT Service Management, supported by qualifications, an international user group and library publications - some of which we offer on our Service Management Extras page.
